Wreck-It Ralph easter egg in first footage from Disney’s just announced first ever Marvel animated feature Big Hero 6, arriving in November 2014.
Does someone want to explain to me why we get OFFICIAL footage from “Big Hero 6” before anything from “Frozen”? “Frozen” comes out in 6 months!
Still looks cool, though.(via popculturebrain)

DAMN IT DISNEY
PFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTT BEST RECYCLER EVER
I’d like to see you hand draw full feature length films without ever recycling frames.
Pretty sure these were intentional throwbacks and homages. You don’t recreate entire scenes and not expect someone to notice.
INFORMATION TIME
This was done entirely to save money. In the 70s, Disney was not doing well financially and was cutting corners, mostly in the animation department. (Most of the execs thought the company’s future was in live action films.)
This was also before the concept of home video was in most peoples’ minds. The only time people got to see these movies was during a theatrical run. No one noticed the recycling until the 90s once everyone had them on VHS.
Hell, they even recycled some animation for Beauty and the Beast. It wasn’t until about 1990 that the animation budgets were high enough to allow them to do entirely new animation for every film.

The poster for “The Blue Umbrella,” Pixar’s latest short, which will be in front of Monsters University this summer. I’m really looking forward to seeing this one.

The return of Steve Buscemi in monster form!

So glad this is finally available to watch online. If you have even the slightest love for pretty scenery and the connection between a man and a dog, this is right up your alley.
I really don’t know who to root for for the Oscar, this or Paperman.
-
For a split second, this large man’s terrible, monotonous days was brightened, only to be dashed to pieces moments later.
He probably went home and sat in his garage with the car running.
-
This is such a great little movie. I have no idea why it took me so long to finally sit down and watch it.

Happy Halloween!

“Maybe I should give ‘An Extremely Goofy Movie’ another chance, people seem to enjoy it and it’s probably been 10 years since I watched it.”
This was my face a half-hour in when I turned it off.

Funny stills from “A Goofy Movie” They had fun with the animation in this one.

I recently came into a complete collection of “Powerpuff Girls” model sheets. About 80 of them, from the first season. Not sure what to do with them, but I enjoy them thoroughly.
